Stemming from her interest in looking at how landscapes contain psychological significance in relation to visually concealed histories, Chrystel Lebas employs photography and
the moving image, to address a wider understanding of the complex encounter between man and nature.
Investigating a variation of sites and returning at key moments during an extended period, the works highlight the complexity of these places,
showing a landscape controlled by man and at the same time observing Natural Phenomena occurring at specific time and place.
